Unia EuropejskaPrime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki took part in the opening of a new line for the production of diesel fuel additive – 2-ethylhexyl nitrate (abbreviated 2-EHN), sold by NITROERG S.A. under the name NITROCET 50®. This is the only installation of its kind in Poland and one of only a few in the world where this product is manufactured. The new investment, worth PLN 77 million, will significantly increase the company’s production capacity, while making production more environmentally friendly.
– I am very glad that I can participate in the opening of a new technological line that will allow Nitroerg to export by 50% more than ever before. We are very proud that we have companies that respond to the latest economic trends, both in Poland and in the European Union – said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.
The new production line will increase efficiency and improve the safety of the entire production process. In addition, due to the use of innovative technologies, the nitric and sulfuric acids recovered during the process are fully recycled.

The new installation is worth over PLN 77 million. It increased the production capacity of the NITTOCET 50® to around 24,000 tons per year. The diesel fuel additive (2-EHN) in Krupski Młyn has been produced since 1998. Until now, two installations provided production capacity of 16 thousand. tons per year.
– The production of the diesel fuel additive used in diesel engines is one of the three main areas of NITROERG’s activity. Today we are opening a new installation that practically doubles our production capacity. Thanks to this, we will be able to respond to the demand of markets in Europe, North America and Africa. The global trends and analyzes that we conduct show that demand will increase in the coming years. We have already begun working on further NITROCET – technologically advanced additive for diesel fuel for non-road machinery, particularly for underground mining machinery – emphasized Grzegorz Sosna, President of the Management Board of NITROERG S.A.
