Marek Mrówczyński holds a PhD in Law, is a legal counsel, a specialist in financial law, and a graduate of MBA studies.

He began his professional career as a research associate at the University of Silesia. He has extensive, over 20 years of experience in management, both in public companies and private entities. For over 12 years, he managed MASTER – Odpady i Energia sp. z o.o. – a company owned by 9 municipalities in Silesia, including the city of Tychy. Subsequently, from 2014 to 2019, he led Elektrociepłownia Będzin sp. z o.o. From December 2019 to May 2024, he was the President of the Management Board of Instalmedia sp. z o.o.

Additionally, he has held significant positions on supervisory boards. Since 2018, he has been the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of MASTER – Odpady i Energia sp. z o.o. He has also served as an advisor to the Management Board of Veolia Energia Polska S.A., and for many years, he was a Member of the Board of Trustees of the Higher School of Management and Social Sciences in Tychy. He is the Vice President of the Management Board of the Regional Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Tychy, of which Nitroerg has been a member for many years.

In his free time, President Marek Mrówczyński stays active. He participates in marathons and triathlon events. He is also interested in literature, both fiction and professional works in the fields of social sciences and history.

A graduate of the Wrocław University of Economics, majoring in Planning and Financing. He also completed postgraduate studies in Corporate Value Management at the Warsaw School of Economics. He has participated in numerous courses and training sessions related to investment advisory, securities trading, financial law, accounting, and taxation.

He began his professional career at Bank Zachodni as an inspector, and later served as Deputy Director of the Brokerage House of Bank Zachodni S.A. From 1997 to 2001, he was the President of the Management Board of Forum – Western Investment Funds Association. For 10 years, he also worked as the Chief Financial Officer at Telefonia Dialog S.A. (a company within the KGHM Group). Since 2012, with a one-year break (2024–2025), he has served as a Member of the Management Board and Chief Financial Officer of NITROERG S.A.

He is a graduate of the Stanisław Staszic AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków, where he earned a degree in Mining and Geology, followed by postgraduate studies in Business Management.

He began his professional career in 1995 at Progress S.A., a Mining and Construction Works Company in Łęczna. Advancing through successive positions, from underground loader to various mining supervisory roles, he gained extensive experience in managing underground operations and workforce teams. In 1998, he joined Wschód S.A. Specialized Works Company in Lublin, where he progressed from the position of Underground Shift Foreman to Department Foreman, Senior Mining Foreman, and subsequently President of the Management Board.

Between 2010 and 2014, he managed Wschód S.A. Specialized Works Company, overseeing the delivery of specialist projects for the mining and infrastructure sectors. He then served as Senior Underground Mining Foreman at Lubelski Węgiel Bogdanka S.A., where he was responsible for coordinating and supervising production operations at one of the most technologically advanced mining facilities in Poland.

From 2015 to 2023, he served as President of the Management Board of Grupa Carbon Sp. z o.o., leading a company specializing in projects for the mining and infrastructure sectors. Throughout his professional career, he has consistently combined technical expertise gained in the mining industry with strong managerial competencies, successfully leading large teams and complex investment projects.
