Minister of Finance and Economy Visits Nitroerg S.A.

The project is of strategic importance for Poland’s economic and defense security. Thanks to this investment, Nitroerg will become independent from foreign suppliers of key raw materials, strengthen the security of national supply chains, and increase domestic production capacity for materials used in both the mining and defense sectors.

The investment is another example of utilizing the opportunities provided since July 2025 by the Polish Investment Zone to companies implementing projects in the defense sector. Nitroerg is among the companies expanding their facilities through the extension of the support system to investments of strategic importance for state security.

Today’s support decision is an investment in Poland’s security, the resilience of our economy, and the development of modern industry. Building domestic production capacity in strategic materials used in both the economy and the defense industry is of fundamental importance today. Nitroerg, as a key member of the KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. Capital Group, has for many years provided solutions used primarily in open-pit and underground mining, infrastructure construction, and other industrial sectors requiring blasting techniques.

Nitroerg continuously invests in infrastructure development, technological process modernization, and business diversification. In recent years, a series of multi-million investment projects enhancing production capabilities have been completed, including new production lines for emulsion explosives, detonators, and fuel additives.

The implementation of this investment represents a strategic milestone in the company’s development for Nitroerg. Our own production of PETN will ensure supply security for a key raw material used in our products, while launching RDX production will allow us to enter a new, promising market segment related to the defense industry.
