The feature that distinguishes the nitrON package from other products of this type available on the global market is its unique formula, which allowed to combine properties seemingly impossible to combine. Fuel blends with FAME (Fatty Acid Methyl Esters) tend to degrade faster as a result of the fuel biocomponent being more susceptible to oxidation. It is known that cetane improvers also tend to have a negative impact on the oxidation stability of diesel fuel. The products of the oxidation reactions occurring in fuels are substances that may compromise the proper operation of engine, especially the HPCR injection systems. Diesel fuels enriched with the addition of nitrON additive, stored for 6 weeks at 43 ° C, showed an excellent oxidation stability throughout the entire duration of the study (Rancimat® method).

The optimal level of nitrON dose used to increase the cetane number of the fuel depends, among others, on the base cetane number of the fuel (BCN). To help our customers make the most of nitrON additive, the effect of the additive dosage on the cetane number of the fuel is presented below (diesel fuel with BCN of 52.3).
