Unia EuropejskaOn November 26, NITROERG S.A. and the Industrial Development Agency signed a letter of intent regarding the expansion of explosive materials production capacity.
The companies intend to collaborate on expanding expertise in the production of high-energy explosives, specifically PETN and RDX, within Poland. These products have dual-use applications, serving both civilian and military purposes. Initially, PETN will be produced primarily to meet NITROERG S.A.’s internal needs, but in exceptional circumstances, it could support defense production. Both products will enhance NITROERG’s manufacturing portfolio.
Marek Mrówczyński, CEO of NITROERG S.A., emphasized that the decision to start PETN and RDX production marks a significant step in the company’s development. The estimated investment value is approximately PLN 250 million. Construction is planned to begin at the end of next year, with completion expected in the second quarter of 2028.
